Lesvos Solidarity (LeSol) is a grassroots organisation based on Lesvos Island, Greece. LeSol has been operating since 2012. LeSol’s community believes in an open society free of racism, fascism, and discrimination. LeSol is an assembly-run organisation and the participation of refugees in shaping knowledge and skills is vital for integration and social inclusion.

Safe Passage Bags Workshop
Part time (30h /week)
Overview of Project and Position
Typically reporting to the Safe Passage Coordinator, the Communications/Sales Officer is responsible for creating communications content on behalf of Safe Passage Bags Workshop. He/ She is responsible for providing strategic customer relations and communication services to internal and external stakeholders. Delivering sound advice, strategy, planning and implementation on various communication and sales network matters is core to the role.
Key objectives/responsibilities of the role
Maintain organisation-wide media and communications plan for social media.
Drafting of content for a variety of communications outputs of the organisation (i.e. website, newsletter, reports).
Writing of content for a variety of communications outputs of the organisation (i.e. website, newsletter, reports).
Support on all social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), extract statistics, create content, post social media updates.
Act as a sales representative, opening new point of sales and owning the pre and after market communication on client service
Act as a representative of the workshop to the media or other external stake holders.
Monitoring competition and trends.
Support in organising and planning networking events.
2+ years prior experience in a communications/sales/marketing field and administrative role.
Fluency in Greek and English.
Exceptional writing skills and ability to compose engaging and accurate content.
Excellent computer skills in MS Office programs.
Strong writing and analytical skills.
Familiarity with the best practices of common social media platforms.
Knowledge of best practices of main social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc
Excellent time management and sales skills.
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts.
Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team.
Open to different cultures, social backgrounds and ideas.
Ability to work in an unstable and changing environment.
